Meg JamesMy name is Meg James, and I am very excited and honoured to have joined the school community as Acting Principal. I have worked across a range of government primary school settings and bring extensive experience in educational leadership, student wellbeing, inclusion and school improvement. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about creating calm, inclusive and supportive learning environments where every child feels safe, connected and able to thrive. I am also a proud parent to my three children — Rebecca, Matthew and Luke — and have recently become a grandmother to a beautiful little girl, which has been a very special and exciting new chapter in my life. I also have a wonderful partner, Brad. Family is at the heart of who I am, and it is one of the reasons I value the strong sense of connection and community that schools like Flowerdale Primary School provide for students and families. What immediately stood out to me about Flowerdale Primary School is the genuine care shown towards students and the close-knit community feel of the school. I am looking forward to getting to know the staff, students and wider community, and to working together to continue supporting the success and wellbeing of every child. I feel incredibly privileged to be part of such a welcoming community and look forward to the exciting journey ahead. |

Cherie GrahamI have been the Business Manager at Flowerdale Primary School since 2017. Outside of the schooling environment, I am a wife and mother of a young teenage boy who keeps me busy with his sporting activities. I enjoy getting away from it all by hiking the tracks of nature and I am currently planning my return to hiking. |

Amanda AugelloMy name is Amanda Augello, and I am the Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader. I will be working at Flowerdale PS two days a week, supporting students, staff, and families to promote positive mental health, create clear pathways for support, and help make our school a safe, welcoming place where every student can thrive. A little about me – I am a proud mum of three energetic boys, and when I’m not at school, you will usually find me on an adventure with them, trying new foods or curled up with a good book. I am passionate about helping children build resilience, develop strong relationships, and feel confident in who they are. I’m looking forward to working with our wonderful students and families, and I can’t wait to get to know each of you better. If you see me around the school, please come and say hello – I’d love to have a chat! |

Brooke McDonaldI am Brooke McDonald also known as Ms Mac. I have been teaching at Flowerdale Primary School since 2017, however I did begin as a graduate teacher here in 2003. I have taught F-2 full time for the last 2 years. I love working at Flowerdale Primary School in an amazingly strong community, where individuals always step up to help each other out. Being a part of the new team here is like a big family. It is a beautiful place to work, live and visit and we share our school with the local wildlife and sometimes farm animals. Next year, I am looking forward to changing classrooms and teaching the year 2 and 3 students. |

Scott SparrowI have been teaching since 2015 and hold a Bachelor of Arts, a graduate diploma of education and a graduate diploma of creative writing. Reading and writing are my passion, and I try to read as many books as possible each year. Coming from a large neurodiverse family, I am the stepfather of four moody teenagers, my passion for education has always been rooted in helping students develop social-emotional skills—such as emotional regulation, how to communicate and play with others, and positive peer relationships. I chose Flowerdale Primary School, because I love working with students who are intelligent, kind, and enjoy having a laugh, and I enjoy working as part of a team of teachers who look after the needs of every child in the school. Flowerdale Primary is a special place and I'm proud to be its F/1 teacher. |

Andrew StockerMy name is Andrew Stocker, some of our community members may recognise me, as I am one of the new owners of the Flowerdale Hotel. However, my first passion has always been teaching. In my 30s I managed a Wildlife Sanctuary at La Trobe University in Bundoora, and coordinated their education service, as well as developing the overall business aspects of the venue. I have taught for around 10 years, most of which was with grade 5 and 6 students at a school in Mill Park. More recently I worked as a science specialist and a wellbeing and student voice coordinator. I am super passionate about developing leadership, confidence and independence in primary school students. I have loved my time at Flowerdale Primary and really look forward to what the students can achieve. |

Debbie HibbertMy teaching journey began in 2006 in Melbourne before transitioning to rural education in 2009. After just two weeks of casual relief teaching at Flowerdale Primary School, I was so impressed with the students, staff, and location that I knew I wanted to join this amazing community. I am passionate about student welfare and love fostering a supportive and engaging classroom environment. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family as well as exploring and photographing nature. I specifically have a love for macro photography, which allows me to explore details and differing perspectives of the world around me. |
