Acting Principal

Dave has been involved at Flowerdale PS as the Acting Principal since late 2021. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge in curriculum delivery and assessment, as well as health and wellbeing practices that develop the whole student. Dave's passion and connection with the Flowerdale PS students and community has seen the school blossom on many fronts. Aside from Flowerdale PS, Dave is a husband and father of 2 young girls, plays football semiprofessionally and is currently training to run the Melbourne Marathon in under 4 hours.

Brooke McDonald

Tutoring Program & Classroom Teacher

Brooke has been teaching in the Flowerdale community since 2003. She has a passion for books and reading and enjoys sharing this with her students. Brooke's strength is identifying misunderstandings that students can face in learning and planning engaging lessons to develop the whole student. Brooke previously worked part time as a tutor at FPS focusing on Mathematics and Literacy, and is now enthusiastically returning to a full-time classroom teacher role. In her spare time, Brooke enjoys teaching swimming at Strath Creek Swim school and spending time with her teenage son and daughter and two spoiled dogs.

Mick has been a teacher/educator/trainer for most of his working adult life, teaching adults and children an array of diverse and interesting topics. It’s his passion and his reason for being, that the next generation to inherit the planet goes into the future better equipped than the previous, with greater understanding and care, for themselves, others, and the planet. He is a subscriber to the 500 year plan and is currently our senior classroom
teacher.

Cherie Graham
Business Manager

Cherie has been the Business Manager at Flowerdale Primary School since 2017, previously working in Private Industry for 15 years before joining the Education Department in an Administrative Relief capacity at various Primary Schools. Outside of the schooling environment she is a wife and mother of a young teenage boy, enjoys getting away from it all hiking the tracks of nature and is currently planning her next big hike.

Education Support

Mandy has been working in the classrooms at Flowerdale Primary School since early 2021. She is passionate about supporting student wellbeing and learning outcomes. Mandy is teacher trained and has been working in Education Support for over 10 years. Her experience includes working with students with Autism, and delivering a Garden program as part of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program. Recently her Labrador puppy, Gracie has joined our team. Gracie will be a trained therapy dog to further support student wellbeing and school engagement at Flowerdale Primary School. Gracie is currently undertaking general obedience classes and will commence certified therapy of training in the next six months.

Erin joined the Flowerdale PS team in early 2021 in an Education Support role, with a background encompassing Business, Customer Service and Hospitality Management. She brings enthusiasm, a lifelong love of learning and a desire to assist the talented teaching staff to provide the best possible educational experience to all students. When not at work, Erin enjoys spending time with family and appreciating the great outdoors.

Lisa Mack

Education Support

Over the past 12 years, Lisa has worked as a Trainer and Assessor, delivering and sharing her skills to various students within schools around the state. Outside of school, Lisa’s passion definitely lays with her family. She has 2 adult boys and 2 grandchildren (both boys) who she dearly enjoys spending time with. Lisa’s weekends are spent creating memories at her Strath Creek property amongst her menagerie of animals which include, donkeys, horses, sheep and all the poultry you can imagine from chooks, ducks and geese.

Hi Flowerdale community! My name is Tessa and I am the Chaplain at Flowerdale Primary School. I have completed my Certificate 4 in Community Services and my Diploma of Leadership and am currently studying my Certificate 4 of Dance Teaching and Management. I have experience working with youth and children in both paid and volunteer positions and I love to see young people reach their full potential! In my spare time I love to explore in nature and dance! I look forward to supporting your child to be the best version of themselves!
