Chaplaincy

ChaplaincyChaplains play an invaluable role in contributing towards the building of healthy school communities. Working from Scripture Union Victoria’s ELEVATE framework, based on community development and youth work principles our school Chaplain, Tessa Sedawie, facilitates programs that increase student engagement, improve wellbeing outcomes, and strengthens links between students, families, teachers and the broader community.

Tessa supports the wellbeing of all members of the school community, including staff, students and families and is available to respond to issues and critical incidents as they arise, as well as supporting ongoing needs. Tessa works in partnership with school leadership and existing wellbeing support structures, and tailors her programs and support strategies to meet the specific needs of their school community.

Chaplaincy support enables us to offers programs that include our breakfast club, lunch orders and family activities. School Chaplains do not provide any religious education or teaching.
